Ruth Weingart

MRS. RUTH WEINGART Mrs. Ruth Edna Bruin Weingart, 100, resident of 1800 Hayes Denton Road, died Monday, September 16, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery in Alexandria, Virginia at a later date.Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Memorials may be made to Columbia State Community College Nursing Program. The Alexandria, Virginia native was the daughter of the late Joseph Bruin and Ruth Duty Bruin. She was married to Ernest Nicholas Weingart who preceded her in death in 1953. She was former co-owner of Gaines & Bruin Insurance Company in Alexandria, Virginia before moving to Columbia in 1979. She was a member of the Methodist Church. She is survived by one son, Ronald Weingart of Columbia; and one sister, Eunice Lynch of Falls Church, Virginia. She was preceded in death by one son, Rev. Richard E. Weingart, Doctor of Theology, three sisters and one brother.
