MRS. RUTH WELLS Mrs. Ruth Weatherford Wells, 81, retired bank administrative assistant, died Monday, August 18, 2003, at Huron Valley Hospital in Commerce Township, Michigan. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon., Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Samuel Reese Weatherford and Ruby Lee Williamson Weatherford. She was married to Bert Wells who preceded her in death August 12, 1995. She was a member of the Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Pam (Bryan) Michalowski of Howell, Michigan; a grandson, Keith Michalowski of Ann Arbor, Michigan; a granddaughter, Rachel Michalowski of Howell, Michigan; a brother, Clyde Weatherford of Harrisonburg, Virginia; two sisters, Geri (Robert) Horsley of Murfreesboro, Brownie (Hershel) Templeton of Hendersonville; and a great-granddaughter, Vanessa Michalowski. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bertie Mae Hickman, Annie Sands and two brothers, Gerald Weatherford and Joe Weatherford. Pallbearers will be Bryan Michalowski, Keith Michalowski, Kevin Rains, Samuel Sands, Kenneth Hickman and Billy Hickman.
