View Funeral WebcastSandra Ann Hanvy Uzzell, 66, homemaker and resident of West 3rd Avenue in Hohenwald, died Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at Vanderbilt University Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with James Dickey and Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. She was a 1961 graduate of Columbia Central High School and member of the Chapel Hill Church of Christ.Survivors include her husband, Jerry Allen Uzzell, whom she married November 4, 1961; daughters, Laquita Sue (Tim) Dunkle of Columbia and Melissa Kay (Ken) Miller of Rockmart, Georgia; grandchildren, A. J. Dunkle of Columbia, Timothy Shane Uzzell of Hohenwald, Amy Cooper of Georgia, Dwayne (Ashley) Cooper of Columbia; great-grandchild, Jeriann Cooper of Georgia; sister, Judy (James) Dickey of Columbia; brothers, Capt. James George (Jan) Hanvy of Spring Hill and Billy Darrell (Jill) Hanvy of Spring Hill; six nieces; twelve nephews; special cousins, Linda and Junior Davidson of Lynnville.Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
