Sara Mildred "Miss Jack" Cayce Anderson, 90, long-time homemaker and resident of the Shady Grove Community, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at Clair Bridge Assisted Living in Huntsville, Alabama.éFuneral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Bill McDonald officiating.é Burial will be in Stand Cemetery.é The family will visit with friends Monday after 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.é éMemorials may be made to Stand Cemetery Association, c/o Carol Shelby, 259 Shelby Road, Williamsport 38454.é Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com.éThe Hickman County native was the daughter of the late Richard Evans Cayce and Minnie Bell Atkisson Cayce.é She attended Hickman County schools and was a graduate of Martin Methodist College in Pulaski.é"Miss Jack" was a member of Shady Grove United Methodist Church for many years and more recently attended Shiloh United Methodist Church in Ryland, Alabama. She was a member of Shady Grove Community Club.éShe was married July 28, 1947 to John M. "Andy" Anderson.é Mr. Anderson died in 1991.éSurvivors include her daughter, Molly (Larry) Savage of Huntsville, Alabama; a granddaughter, Sarah Cayce Savage of Huntsville; and two nieces.éShe was preceded in death by a sister, Jessie Mae Payne and two brothers, George Benton Cayce and John Wilbur Cayce.éActive pallbearers are Tommy Skelley, Joel Skelley, Kyle Skelley, Ronnie King, Greg McMinnis, and Joe Shelby.Honorary pallbearers include Dozier Hooten, Doug Church, Billy Church, Don Bratton, Jim McEwen, and Bill McEwen.
