Sara Ann Culberson

Sara Ann Culberson, 84, longtime employee of Taylor's Cleaners and Alderson's Cleaners and resident of Paul Craft Street in Columbia, died Saturday, October 8, 2016, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. A graveside service will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Murray Thomas Culberson officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Charlie Eugene Culberson and the late Christine Warren Culberson. For over thirty years, she did alterations at Taylor's Cleaners and Alderson's Cleaners in Columbia. She enjoyed reading, working puzzle books, and listening to gospel music. She had attended the Baptist church. Survivors include her sister, Ruth Wiley of Columbia; brother, Fowler Culberson of Mt. Pleasant; several cousins; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a brother, Gene Culberson, and a niece, Vicki Brady.
