Sarah Rosie Owens Bryson

Mrs. Sarah Rosie Owens Bryson, 85, retired from Dixie Manufacturing Company and resident of Brannon Court, died Friday, November 24, 2006 at NHC of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Earl Davis officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery in Culleoka. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Maury County Special Olympics, c/o Shannon Lanius, 412 West 9th Street, Columbia 38401. She was a member of Godwin-Chappell United Methodist Church and loved sewing and flower gardening. Survivors include five daughters, Barbara (Johnny) Paisley of Columbia, Linda Sue (William) Newcomb of Murfreesboro, Carolyn (Harold) Roberts, Masel (Billy) Massey, and Judy (Goldie) Anderson, all of Columbia; four sons, William R. (Frances) Bryson of Columbia, Larry (Linda) Bryson of Summertown, Danny Bryson of Smyrna, and Eugene (LuAnn) Bryson of Columbia; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 3 children, Ruby Bryson, Ruth Bryson, and Frank Bryson; 3 grandchildren, Cheryl Ann Newcomb White, Tim Newcomb, and Glenda Jean Bryson; a sister, Masel Owens; and step-father, Sherman Young. Grandsons serving as pallbearers are Jason Paisley, Jonathon Paisley, Jeremy Paisley, Shane Newcomb, Chris Bryson, Grey Bryson, Jeremy Wayne Bryson, and Bill Helton.
