Scotty Snedegar Mr. John Scott "Scotty" Snedegar, 45, foreman of the City of Columbia Street Department died Sunday, October 3, 2004 at his residence on Mayflower Drive. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. David McGregor officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 29, Columbia, Tennessee, 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Martha Ann Bryant Snedegar of Columbia and the late Robert Sherman Snedegar. He was a 1976 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of McCains Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he taught the Primary Sunday School Class. Mr. Snedegar was a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson with friends. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Missy Cook Snedegar of Columbia; two daughters, Traci Leigh Snedegar and Jody Lynn Snedegar both of Columbia; one son, Robert Thomas "Robby" Snedegar of Columbia; one brother Eric (Kym Marie) Snedegar of Columbia; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Tommy and Norma Cook of Columbia; brother-in-law, Hodge (Amber) Cook of Columbia; two nephews; one niece; and several uncles and aunts. Pallbearers will be Tommy Bone, Mike King, Hodge Cook, David Holt, Dwight Holt, Harvey Moore, Mike Redding, and RoRoShapiro. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of the City of Columbia.
