View Funeral Webcast Sharon Brown Bailey, age 80, passed away peacefully on June 8, 2023 surrounded by her family. Sharon was born on June 5, 1943 to the late Jones Baker Brown and Lilly Mae Wisner Brown. She was a 1961 graduate of Columbia Central High School. On May 25, 1968, she married Marvin Bailey. She retired in 1996 from a 30 year career with Tennessee Vocational Rehabilitation. She was a member of the Spring Hill First Baptist Church. She was known for being an excellent cook and enjoyed planting and tending to her many flowers. She is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Marvin Bailey, daughter, Susan Bailey Hubbell (Jeff), granddaughters, Emma and Anna Hubbell, and her sisters, Linda Lowe and Sheila Register (David). Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with J. C. Christian, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. and Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be John Coleman, Jay Coleman, Lyle Worsham, Luke Worsham, David Register, and Joe Frank Bailey. Honorary pallbearers will be Larry and Sharron Warren, Wayne and Jeanie Harris, Bill and Molly Ammons, Charles and Sharon England, Tim and Jane Love, Don Kincaid, Wilson Bedwell, Lori and Charlie Jobe, Larry Weaver, and the deacons of First Baptist Church, Spring Hill.
