Mr. James Ewell "Dubbie" Sharp, 67, retired electrician and resident of Knoxville, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at University of Tennessee Medical Center in Knoxville. Graveside services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Wilkes Cemetery in Culleoka with Rev. Gary Bailey officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late E.P. "Pat" Sharp and Gladys "Jackie" Cannady Sharp. He was a graduate of Culleoka High School. Mr. Sharp was an avid horseman and fisherman. Survivors include one daughter, Felicia Hart of Allen, TX; a son, Robin (Dawn) Sharp of Union, MO; four grandchildren, Cassie Sharp, Alex Sharp, Cody Sharp all of Union, MO, Lindsey Hart of Plano, TX; one great-grandson, Blake Sharp of Union, MO; very cherished friends, Junior and Mary Rogers of Knoxville; and several cousins.
