Sherrell Raye Massey Hickman, 78, retired owner and beautician at the Three Sisters Beauty Shop, and lifelong resident of Maury County, died Friday, December 13, 2024 at Mt. Pleasant Health & Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Massey Cemetery in Cross Bridges. The family will visit with friends Tuesday, December 17, 2024 from 10:00 AM till the time of service at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Online condolences may be extended at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born October 10, 1946 in Hampshire, TN, she was the daughter of the late Sherman Massey and the late Rachel Morrow Massey. Mrs. Hickman was a 1964 graduate of Hampshire High School, where she was a cheerleader and served in several social clubs. On August 8, 1978 she married Elbert Hickman, who preceded her in death on December 22, 1997. Mrs. Hickman enjoyed gardening and loved all animals, raising several over the years. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. 

She is survived by several cousins, including her special cousin and caregiver for many years, Beverly Rayburn.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her special friend, Billy Ray Campbell. 

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
