Sherrie Marie Pruitt Williams

Sherrie Marie Pruitt Williams, 61, resident of Willa Circle in Pulaski, died Saturday, October 28, 2017 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brother Anthony Bledsoe officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born February 15, 1956 in Maury County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of late Reverend Elgia Donald Pruitt and the late Lucille Martin Pruitt. For several years, Mrs. Williams was the office manager for Ray Atkinson Construction Company. She was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, whom she married November 25, 1994, John Williams of Pulaski; children, Angie (Curt) Alsup of Pulaski; Jeremey (Sarah) Wood of Estill Springs; Missy (Barry) Hopkins of Spring Hill; and Tammy (Steve) Rash of Columbia; grandchildren, Lindsey Rash; Evan Hopkins; Madison Alsup; Alexia Wood; Emily Hopkins; Andrea Rash; Elijah Wood; Harley Grace Alsup; and Marshal Alsup; brothers, Mike (Melody) Pruitt of Mt. Pleasant; Ronnie (Darlene) Pruitt of Columbia; and Ricky (Shirley) Pruitt of Columbia; and special friends, Ray and Gwyn Atkinson. She was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Pruitt. Active pallbearers will be Jeremey Wood, Bill Clemmons, Eddie Owen, Stephen Jones, Ray Atkinson, and John Mitchell.
