MRS. SHIRLEY HARWELL Mrs. Shirley Irene Fralix Harwell, 81, retired employee of Dixie Manufacturing and resident of East Seventeenth Street, died Wednesday, January 22, 2003, at Vanderbilt Stallworth Rehabilitation Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 12:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Henry Mobley officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was married to Lloyd Elmer Harwell who preceded her in death. Mrs. Harwell was a member of the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ.Survivors include one sister, Martha Jane Bunt of Florida; five brothers, Jimmy (Elizabeth) Fralix, Johnny (Earlene) Fralix, and Massey Fralix, all of Columbia; David (Patsy) Fralix of Culleoka; Charles Fralix of Pulaski; five grandchildren, Shirley Ruth (Timothy) Malone, Baldwin (Michelle) Harwell Michelle Harwell, Timothy Harwell, Terry (Juanita) Harwell; seven great grandchildren; and two daughters-in-law, Gloria Harwell and Janet Harwell.She was preceded in death by two sons, Baldwin Harwell and James Harwell; one sister, Zora Wilburn; and two brothers, Ed Fralix and Gardner Fralix.Pallbearers will be Brent Malone, Terry Harwell, Tim Malone, Michael Fralix, B. J. Harwell, Billy Harwell, and Larry Harwell.
