Shirley Ann Miller Wooten, 69, former employee of Fresenius Medical Care and resident of Rick Hight Road, died Saturday, December 31, 2016 at NHC Hillview. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Gene Shelton officiating. Inurnment will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Saturday from 11:00 A.M. - 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was a graduate of Druid Hills High School in DeKalb County, Georgia. Mrs. Wooten enjoyed cooking and crocheting. She was a member of Gospel Harvester Chapel in Georgia. Survivors include her husband whom she married May 12, 1967, Johnny Neal Wooten of Columbia; sons, Wayne Lewis (Karen) Wooten of Seattle, WA; Steven Douglas "Doug" Wooten of Hampshire; daughter, Karen Janette (Charles) Posey of Hampshire; sisters, Sondra Murriell (Robert) Williams of Rockmart, GA; Deborah Lynn (Jon) Frydenlund of Columbia; grandchildren, Matthew Craig Barry of Covington, LA; Alan Michael Barry of Albuquerque, NM; Sara Maria Wooten and Laura Ann Wooten, both of Seattle, WA; Landon Joseph Cicero of Hampshire; and several nieces and nephews.
