STEVE NICHOLS Stephen Joel Nichols, 62, employee of Peterbilt Motors in Madison and resident of Mt. Juliet, died Friday, March 7, 2003, at Summit Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Sellars and Dr. Edward Blackburn officiating. Burial will be in Goshen Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Hamilton County native was the son of Lillian Poole Nichols of Dayton, Tennessee, and the late Fred Nichols. He was a graduate of Madison High School and served in the U. S. Navy. Mr. Nichols was a member of the UAW Local 1832 in Madison. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Martha Shouse Nichols of Mt. Juliet; two daughters, LaBronya (Vance) Gregory of Lebanon; Traci (Robert) Kozloski of Chattanooga; two sons, Tory Nichols of Mt. Juliet; Stephen (Nicole) Nichols of Donelson; three brothers, Fred (Judy) Nichols, Jr., and Keith Nichols, both of Dayton, Tennessee; Mendell Nichols of Spring City; four grandchildren, Ryan Gregory, Justin Nichols, Gabe Thomas, and Rob Kozloski; one special niece, Valerie Nichols of Dayton; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Clara Mai & Paul Malugin, Faye and Gerald Adkison, J. W. and Jewell Shouse, Bobby and Betty Shouse, all of Santa Fe; and Arthur and Janet Shouse of Lawrenceburg. Pallbearers will be Joey Shouse, Tony Bratton, Randy Bratton, Tommy Shouse, Michael Shouse, Dale Hildenbrandt, Danny Lunn, Terry Adkison, Nathan Adkison, Ricky Nelson, Jeff Connelly, Nicky Nichols, Craig Nichols, Todd Nichols, and Roland Nichols.
