Steven Owen Bailey

Steven Owen Bailey, 45, resident of Amber Lynn Circle, died Thursday, August 19, 2004, at Vanderbilt Medical Center. According to Steven's wishes, a private family memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to the Liver Transplant Program at Vanderbilt Medical Center, 1211 22nd Avenue South, Nashville, TN 37232. The Maury County native was the son of the late Willard Gregory Bailey and Annie Walker Allen Bailey. He was a 1978 graduate of Columbia Central High School and earned his Associates Degree in Interior Design in Huntsville, Alabama. The former resident of Athens, Alabama was an inspired artist and former interior designer for Trees & Trends in Huntsville. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include longtime friend, John Chambers of Columbia; four sisters, Ina R. Fitzgerald, Mary F. (Frank) James, Gladys E. Fox, and Carolyn A. Fleming, all of Columbia; two brothers, Ernest Allen Bailey of Atlanta, Georgia; James Mark Bailey of Mobile, Alabama; several nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles. He was preceded in death by one brother, Willard Gregory Bailey, Jr.The family extends a special thanks to Dr. Thomas Dake and staff and Dr. Erik Ness.
