Mrs. Mattie Lenora "Sudie" Stone Mullinax, 70 retired from Weather Tamer and resident of the Nashville Highway, died Saturday, January 14, 2006 at St. Thomas Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Billy Felker and Dalton Cole officiating. Burial will be in the Neapolis Cemetery. Stone and Weltha Cherry Stone. She was a member of the Lanton Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 53 years, Kenneth Mullinax of Columbia; a daughter, Betty (Dennis) Turner of Spring Hill; a son, Wayne (Sandy) Mullinax of Goochland, Virginia; a granddaughter, Crea (Kyle) McManis of Interlachen, Florida; a grandson, Adam (Stephanie) Mullinax of Columbia; two great-granddaughters, Kersey McManis and Kylee McManis; six sisters, Pauline Coe and Helen (Donald) Henard of Murfreesboro; Edith Stone of Lascassas, Mary Pinkerton of Deatsville, Alabama, Ruth Allen of Nashville and Liz Dyer of Clermont, Florida; a brother, Hugh Bennett (Willene) Stone of Murfreesboro; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas Turner Stone and Oliver Stone. Active pallbearers are Dennis Turner, Jerry Stone, Ralph Coe, Jimmy Coe, Mike Pinkerton and Donald Henard. Honorary pallbearers are Craig Vaughn and men of the Lanton Church of Christ.
