Mrs. Sue Frances Davis Wilkie, 89, widow of Arnold Eugene "Gene" Wilkie and resident of Columbia, died Sunday, May 31, 2009 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Jay Hoppus and Rev. Gary Wedgewood, Pastor of Riverside United Methodist Church officiating. Entombment will follow in the Polk Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 5 - 7 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Riverside United Methodist Church, 313 6th Ave., Columbia, TN 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Maury County Davis and Lucy Stamps Davis. She attended Spring Hill School and was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. Survivors include one son, Arnold Eugene (Penny) Wilkie, Jr. of Melbourne, Florida; two granddaughters, Shelley (Daniel) Madan of Orlando, Florida and Allison (Craig) Hanney of Melbourne, Florida; three great-grandchildren, Emma Madan, Abby Madan and Asa Madan all of Orlando, FL; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Albert Sydney Davis, Clyde Virgle Davis, John Elwood Davis; and five sisters, Mrs. Marie (Jack) Hill, Mrs. Louise (Herbert) Haywood, Mrs. Anna Mae (Malcolm) Jones, Mrs. Leuna (Tom J.) Harris and Mrs. Katherine (Stanley) Mahon. Pallbearers will be Dan Madan, Craig Hanney, Peter Hudson, John L. Davis, Marion Davis, Jackie Jernigan, Stanley Mahon, Gary Harris, Bill Garret and Charles Keltner. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Gentner, Buddy Nichols, Ron Bailey, Duke Hamilton, Less Helton, Gerald Martin, Don Kincaid, Gary Ledbetter, Donny Walters and Ed Holton.
