Sue Willie Aldridge Cleveland, 85, retired private sitter and resident of Columbia, died Friday, November 18, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 19, 1937 in Williamson County, she was the daughter of the late Ray Bailey Aldridge and the late Alta B. Hinson Aldridge. On September 16, 1960, she married Robert Allen Cleveland who preceded her in death January 9, 2000. For many years, Mrs. Cleveland worked for WeatherTamer. She enjoyed collecting cookbooks, cooking, and was an avid Alabama Football fan. Mrs. Cleveland loved reading, especially her Bible, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. Survivors include her children, Kathy Cleveland of Columbia; Nancy Cleveland of Columbia; Linda Luttrell of Columbia; grandchildren, Lance Thomas, Zachary Foster, Tara McCafferty, Seth Foster, Logan Slaughter, Summer Slaughter, Camden Luttrell; fifteen great grandchildren; brother, Albert Aldridge of College Grove; sisters, Anita (Paul) McPeak of Bethesda; Teresa Ford of College Grove; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Milton Aldridge, Jimmy Aldridge; and sister-in-law, Mavis Aldridge. Mrs. Cleveland’s grandsons, family and friends will serve as active pallbearers.
