View Video Tribute Sylvia Ann Martin Auville, 80, retired bookkeeper at Porter & Walker in Columbia, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at her residence on Mooresville Pike in the Culleoka Community. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 12:00 P.M. at Grace Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Rick Harvey and Pastor Tonya Marks officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Monday from 11:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born January 2, 1938 in the Mars Hill Community of Lawrence County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Lester Martin and the late Laura Ella Sharpton Martin. She was very involved in all family activities with her children and grandchildren. A member of Grace Church of the Nazarene, she was a member of the choir and very active in various church activities. Survivors include her husband whom she married February 27, 1960, Jack Auville of Culleoka; sons, Randy (Carmen) Auville of Culleoka, Danny (Cindy) Auville of Culleoka, Keith (Sally) Auville of Nashville; grandchildren, Ben (Katie) Auville, Eric Auville, Trent Auville, Katie (Jamie) Ring, Jeannie Ann Auville, all of Culleoka, Megan (Kenneth) Jolley of Nolensville, Paige Auville of Brooklyn, New York, Cole Auville (fiancée Sarah Beth Jones), Grant Oney, Grace Oney, all of Nashville; seven great grandchildren; and brother, Charles Martin. She was preceded in death by brothers, Jack Martin, Joe Paul Martin; and sister, Pattie Campbell. Pallbearers will be Trent Auville, Ben Auville, Eric Auville, Jamie Ring, Kenneth Jolley, Cole Auville, Tommy Campbell, Frankie Harwell, and Austin Seaborn. Honorary pallbearers will include Hershel Currie, Billy Sargent, Dennis Harrington, Charles Martin, Dr. Doug Kennedy, Dr. Lucy Ledbetter, Dr. Kevin Young, and Beverly Tennyson.
