SYLVIA BROWNMrs. Sylvia E. Parson Brown, 66, former long time resident of Maury County, died Monday, December 16, 2002 at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:30 P.M. until 2:30 P.M. at the funeral home. She was a graduate of Haylong High School. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ.Survivors include her husband, Billy Carl Brown, Sr. of Leoma; two daughters, Mrs. Brenda Lee (Gary) Putman of Columbia, Mrs. Sylvia Lee (Rodney) Rodgers of Paris, Texas; one sister, Miss Barbara Joe Parson of Mt. Pleasant; and one brother William Wayne (Mary Alice) Parson of Mt. Pleasant.She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Carl Brown, Jr. and eleven brothers and sisters.Pallbearers will be Billy Hood, C.T. Johnson, Mike Hunt, Ronnie Ring, Richard Jenkins and Johnny Sealy.
