Tammy Matheny Mrs. Tammy Renne Patterson Matheny, 34, resident of Dimple Court, died Wednesday, March 31,2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy McNeese officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, VU Station B #357727, Nashville, Tennessee, 37235-7727, Gift Records. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of James and Sue Barr Patterson of Columbia. She was the 1976 National Poster Child for the March of Dimes. She was a 1987 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School and a 1999 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University where she majored in Criminal Justice. Mrs. Matheny was a former domestic violence counselor and attended Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors in addition to her parents are her husband, Steve Matheny of Columbia; one daughter, Mary Andrea Matheny of Nashville; one son, Ashton Jaymes Matheny of Columbia; one brother, Tracy James Patterson of Summertown; one sister, Stacy Lynn (Jonathan) Brasier of Waynesboro; one brother-in-law, Paul (Wanda) Bradford; two nephews, Garrick Patterson, Jeremy Bradford, one niece, Heather Bradford; and special friends, Kristy McNeese Brown, Michelle McDonald and Jennifer Stafford. Pallbearers will be Paul Bradford, Jeff Nolen, Wendell O'Neal, Steve Barr, Terry Spencer, Larry Brown, Don Black and Doug Gesar. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Cummins Couch and staff; ICU staff at Maury Regional Hospital; MRH 4th Floor Nursing Staff and Dr. Daniel Oxley.
