Ted Michael Loftin, 65, medical technician and resident of McAnally Road in Mt. Pleasant, died Saturday, August 9, 2008 at Marshall Medical Center.éGraveside services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Vanderbilt Chaplain Barry Culbertson and Rev. E." Loftin and Kathleen Snell Loftin.é He was a graduate of Father Ryan High School in Nashville and the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. éDuring his service in the U. S. Navy, he was trained as a pharmacist's mate and medical corpsman at Camp Pendleton and worked as a medical technician and physician's assistant following his discharge.Mr. Loftin was a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church.He is survived by several cousins, including Ernest Allen of Columbia, and friends, Perry Hall, Bob Wren, and Randy Sisco.é He was preceded in death by two brothers, E. E. Loftin, Jr. and Randolph Loftin.
