Tennie Doris Miller Littlejohn

Mrs. Tennie Doris Miller Littlejohn, 79, former resident of Carol Dr., died Tuesday, December 25, 2007 at Sentara Bayside Hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dana Cavallaro and Rev. Charles Blythe officiating. Burial will be in Rock Springs Cemetery. The Homestead, Florida native was the daughter of the late Robert L. Miller and Dora Richardson Miller. On March 21, 1948 she married George Leland Littlejohn who preceded her in death March 8, 2002. She was a homemaker and a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. While living in Columbia she attended church at the First Assembly of God. After moving to Virginia Beach in August 2000 she attended Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Norfolk, VA. Survivors include one son, George Wayne Littlejohn (Patty Messina) of Plantation, Florida; two daughters Wanda (James, Jr.) Reeves of Virginia Beach, VA, Doreen (Robert) Rummell of Reidsville, North Carolina; five grandchildren, Kelly Reeves (Taylor P.) White, Melanie Dawn Reeves, Justin Todd Lockhart, James D. Reeves, III, Tiffany Lynn Reeves; two great-granddaughters, Payton Leigh White, Cambell Jane White; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her twin brother, Joseph Robert Miller. Pallbearers will be James Reeves, Jr., Robert Rummell, James Reeves, III, Justin Lockhart, Taylor Patrick White and Jerry Greene. Honorary pallbearers will be Allen Littlejohn, Bobby Littlejohn and SargeWestmoreland.
