He was born July 29, 1961, in Columbia, TN.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, November 2, 2014, at 2:00 p.m. at Riverside United Methodist Church, Columbia, TN, with Rev. David Spencer, Rev. Tommy Vann, and Andy Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Memorial Park, Spring Hill, TN. First cousins will serve as pallbearers. Visitation will be Saturday, November 1, at Oakes and Nichols Funeral Home in Columbia from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Condolences may be offered online at www.oakesandnichols.com.Terry grew up in Columbia, Tennessee. He graduated from Central High School in 1979. After high school he attended Columbia State Community College, then Lambuth University in Jackson, Tennessee. While at Lambuth he was a member of the Kappa Alpha fraternity and also a member of the musical group Kaleidoscopes. Terry completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, he worked for Hanwha L&C as a sales Director. He was blessed with twin sons John Deuel Spencer and Dylan Armon Spencer. He is survived by his mother Barbara Ann Spencer of Columbia, Tennessee; two nephews Matthew Spencer Lentz his wife Amber and great nephew Adam Spencer Lentz of Fort Bragg, NC; and Joshua Harrison Lentz, of Florence, AL; He was preceded in death by his father the late Armon Deuel Spencer, a sister Patty Spencer Zopff, who passed away on October 27, 2014.Terry was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Columbia. He was also very active with Columbia Judo and TN State Judo Tournament in Columbia, Tennessee where he brought his love of the martial arts to many young people in the community. Terry received his 2nd Degree Black-belt in Judo. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, and fishing with his two sons.
