MR. THOMAS G. ADKISSON, JR. Mr. Thomas Gray Adkisson, Jr., 73, employee of W. M. White, Inc. for thirty years and a resident of Leipers Creek Road in the Williamsport Community, died Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services for Mr. Adkisson will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Elmore Church of The Nazarene with Rev. Ronnie Johnson, Rev. Gary Fewell and Rev. Howard Alexander officiating. Burial will be in the Potts Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Elmore Church of The Nazarene. The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas Gray Adkisson, Sr. and Minnie Lou Brooks Adkisson Slaughter. He was a long-time very active member of Elmore Church of The Nazarene. Survivors include his wife, Della Potts Adkisson of Williamsport; a daughter, Ann (Danny) Ford of Lyles; two sons, Dean (Mary Jane) Adkisson of Santa Fe, Randell (Nancy) Adkisson of Thompson Station; a sister, Lila Cook of Mt. Pleasant; two brothers, John Slaughter of Columbia, Arthur (Becky) Slaughter of Santa Fe; six grandchildren, Brian (Jennifer) Adkisson, Shane (Myra) Adkisson, Erica (Travis) Poindexter, Amanda (Jeremy) Cook, Emily Ford, Della Grace Ford; two great-grandchildren, Dylan Adkisson, Anna Adkisson; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Iva Dell Beard and two brothers, Lois Adkisson and Hervie Adkisson. Active pallbearers are Emerson Potts, Mack Potts, Landon "Squeeze" Adams, Tony Malugin, Andrew Brooks, Jerrell Potts, Kenneth Potts, Junior Slaughter, Beau McCandless.
