Thomas Lee Alexander

Thomas Lee "Tommy" Alexander, 56, retired Business Manager for Operating Engineers Local Union 912 and resident of Mahon Road, died Monday, February 25, 2008 at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted at eleven o'clock Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols with Reverend Jeff Jacob officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, P.O. The Maury County native was the son of Lila Yancy Alexander of Columbia and the late Sidney Alexander. He was a 1969 graduate of Columbia Central High School and was a member of Elks Lodge #686. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Jane Campbell Alexander of Columbia; daughter, Lucy Lee Alexander Mercer of Murfreesboro; son, Benton Thomas (Jessie) Alexander of Spring Hill; brother, Larry (Carleen) Alexander of Chattanooga; sister, Cynthia (Dick) Hedrick of Greenwood, South Carolina; grandchildren, Rhett Mercer, Ansley Alexander, Abigale Alexander, Addison Alexander; and several nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Follis.Pallbearers will be Bobby Lee Harris, Gary Willis, Paul Parkerson, Randy Baxter, David Graham, Greg Morris, Rob Alexander and Shane Hodges.
