After thirty-seven years, Mr. Anderson retired from TVA and more recently was employed at Ace Hardware. He accepted the Lord many years ago and was a great Christian example to all that knew him. He was a member of Columbia Church of God.His passion was watching his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren play ball; and he also coached his sons as they were growing up. He, along with his wife, has attended literally thousands of ballgames. Their grandchildren and great grandchildren's eyes would always light up when they saw their Mama Dot and Grandy show up for their games. He was also an avid fisherman and loved to go camping. He enjoyed working in his garden and could fix practically anything. Mr. Anderson never met a stranger and could sit and talk for hours. His favorite place to relax was in his recliner with his beloved dog Diesel sitting in his lap. Survivors include his loving wife of sixty-seven years, Dorothy Jean Anderson of Columbia; children, Tommy Wayne (Carolyn) Anderson of Cross Bridges, Steve (Pam) Anderson of Williamsport, Sandra (Jerry) Bolton of Spring Hill; grandchildren, Tracy (Layne) King, Jeremy (Tiffany) Woodard, Troy Anderson, Sylina Anderson, Matt Anderson, Adam (Leslie) Anderson, and Brittney (Brian) Parent; ten great grandchildren; and sister, Edna (Bill) Ambrose of Culleoka. He was preceded in death by one brother, Robert "Cotton" Anderson, and one sister, Evelyn Ring.
