Video Memories of Mr. Thomas AndrewsThomas Elvin "Andy" Andrews, 80, retired employee of Alexander Ford and resident of Brevet Drive in Franklin, died Thursday, June 9, 2005, at Williamson Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Monday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ed Slayton officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Sunday from 2:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late George V. Andrews and Ella Gibson Andrews. He served in the U. S. Navy and the Marine Corps and was a member of the American Legion in Franklin. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge in Lebanon. Mr. Andrews was a member of Millview Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of thirty-two years, Alcyon Mann Andrews of Franklin; two daughters, Teena Dawn Andrews of Mt. Juliet; Lanitia Renae (William David) Crockett of Columbia; three sons, Rickey Phil Andrews, Gerald Thomas (Cindy) Andrews, Danny Eldean (Sylvia) Andrews, all of Hendersonville; nine grandchildren, Troy Andrews, Jeffrey Andrews, Kellie Smith, Jason Andrews, Morgan Andrews, Valerie Thompson, Justin Smith, Chelsea Annalisa Bomar, Zachary Elijah Bomar; and three great grandchildren, Jordan Andrews, R. J. Smith, and Baillie Smith. He was preceded in death by three sisters, Joyce June Black, Frances Polly, Georgene Jones. Pallbearers will be Troy Andrews, Jeffrey Andrews, Jason Andrews, Justin Smith, John Agee, Richard Smith, Prentice Lee, and Bob Bomar.
