Thomas Wayne Dooley

Thomas “Tommy” Wayne Dooley, 79, Captain for Columbia Fire Department, died Saturday, January 25, 2025 at his residence in Columbia.

Tommy was born on September 18, 1945 in Columbia, Tennessee to the late Cecil Thomas Dooley and the late Imogene Nichols Dooley. He married his wife, Patricia Ann McMunn Dooley, on September 20, 1965 and spent 59 wonderful years together. Tommy spent 34 years with the Columbia Fire Department. He was an avid collector and dealer of anything antique. Tommy was a member of the Elk’s Lodge #686 and enjoyed playing cards with the other members.

Survivors include his wife; Patricia “Pat” Dooley of Columbia, TN, children; Julie (Doug) Kinnard of Franklin, TN, Jeff (Ashley) Dooley of Culleoka, TN, grandchildren; Lauren Kinnard of Franklin, TN, and Abby (Noah) Bledsoe of Chattanooga, TN.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Dooley.

Honorary Pallbearers will be the past and present fire fighters of the Columbia Fire Department, members of the Elk’s Lodge #686 and his card playing buddies.
