View Funeral Webcast Thomas Edward “Tom” Taylor, 73, retired employee of General Motors, died Friday, November 11, 2022 at his residence in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at West Seventh Street Church of Christ with Mike Kesler, Randy Owen, and John Law officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the church. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements. Born September 22, 1949 in Southville, Michigan, he was the son of the late Edward Taylor and the late Joan Leming Taylor. Mr. Taylor was an avid classic car enthusiast. He was a member of West Seventh Street Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife, whom he married May 6, 1972, Pauline Korpela Taylor of Columbia; children, Jason Michael Taylor of Columbia; Melissa Marie Taylor (Michael) Lee of Spring Hill; Douglas Edward (Angie) Taylor of Spring Hill; sister, Patricia Taylor (James) York of Hudsonville, Michigan; grandchildren, Trent Taylor, Hunter Taylor, Cameron Lee, Peyton Lee, and Jacob Taylor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Richard Taylor and David Taylor.
