Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 4:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Proctor officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 2, 1971 in Shelbyville, Tennessee, he was the son of James Marion Eley and Sandra Collins Beard. He attended Maury County Schools, enjoyed helping people and making them smile. Mr. Eley was of Baptist faith. Survivors include the love of his life and fiancée, Michelle Smith of Panama City, FL; mother, Sandra (Ray) Beard of Culleoka; father, James Marion (Scottlyn) Eley of Nashville; step-sister, Amy (Thomas) Hughes of Franklin; step-brothers, Chad Beard, Brandon Beard, and Jeremy Beard all of Columbia; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins that he loved dearly. He was preceded in death by his step-brother, Aaron Wright.
