Thomas Leslie Erwin, Jr., 71, retired employee of Dana Corporation and resident of Lark Court, died Thursday, July 6, 2017 at Life Care Center of Columbia.Funeral services will be conducted Sunday at 2:00 P.M. at Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church with Reverend Bob Mullenix officiating. Burial will follow in McCains Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials be made to Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church, P.O. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas Leslie Erwin, Sr. and the late Lillian Pullen Erwin. Mr. Erwin was an elder and charter member of Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include his wife, whom he married January 7, 1966, Lois Jean Staggs Erwin of Spring Hill; daughter, Pam (Eric) Strickland of Franklin; sister, Janice (Jesse) Quirk of Columbia; grandchildren, Sloane Strickland and Quinn Strickland both of Franklin; and several nieces and nephews.Active pallbearers will be Eric Strickland, Jeff Quirk, Jimmy Quirk, Sam Quirk, Andy Staggs, and Rickey Massey. Honorary pallbearers include elders of Mt. Pleasant Cumberland Presbyterian Church. The family would like to express as special thanks to Dr. James Barr, Dr. Paul Perryman, Dr. Janice Vinson, and the staff of Fresensius Dialysis Center.
