Thomas Frederick Wildsmith

Thomas Frederick Wildsmith was born on March 26, 1939 and slipped from this life on April 29, 2020. Fred was the son of Vastine Stickley Wildsmith and Sally Graham Wildsmith. He grew up in Columbia, Tennessee and was a 1957 graduate of Columbia Central High School. He attended Duke University and graduated from Vanderbilt University. He loved his family, his Lord, and His church. Over the years, he served both in many ways. Fred is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy Wildsmith; son, Thomas (Sally) Wildsmith of Damascus, MD; daughter, Amy (Randy) Nelson of Smyrna, TN; grandsons, Joseph Wildsmith of Damascus, MD, Kirk Nelson of Smyrna, TN, and Ryan Nelson of Smyrna, TN; and granddaughter, Mary (Dustin) Wildsmith Gibson of Santa Clara, UT. He was preceded in death by his parents and his infant son, Joseph Graham Wildsmith. A private family graveside service will be held in Polk Memorial Gardens.
