Mr. Thomas Brown Hann, 81, former resident of the Greenfield Bend Community and retired from Union Carbide, died Monday, May 21, 2007 at his residence on Courtland Drive in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Wendell Robinson officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home. On February 28, 1948 he married Rubye Ellen Reed Hann who preceded him in death on September 12, 1998. He was a member of Graymere Church of Christ. Survivors include two daughters, Linda Hann Rivers of Columbia and Lisa (Tony) Parrish of Lawrenceburg; one son, Jerrell Thomas (Carollyn) Hann of Columbia; five grandchildren, Angela Brown, Amy Hann, Mark Hann, Jonathan Parrish, Joshua Parrish; one sister, Mary Brooks of Culleoka; and two brothers Lewis Hann and Walter Hann both of Columbia. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Robert Hann, John Hann, William Hann, and two sisters, Clara Morrow and Dessie Baker. Pallbearers will be Lewis Hann, Jr., Larry Hann, Milton Morrow, James Morrow, Jimmy Brooks, Terry Hann, Ronnie Hines, Howard Foster, Calvin Hoover, Buddy Hann, Sunny Hann and Bob Baker. Honorary pallbearers will be retirees of Union Carbide.
