Thomas James Jarrett, Jr., 76, retired from Turner & Osborne and resident of Williamsport Pike, died Friday, April 25, 2008 at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Kenneth Jarrett and Rev. Argine Hughes officiating. Burial will be in Cross Bridges Baptist Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Cross Bridges Baptist Church. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas James Jarrett, Sr. and Dena Blew Jarrett. He was a member of Cross Bridges Baptist Church and attended Elmore Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include a sister, Elizabeth (Bobby) Davis of Columbia; a brother, William Jarrett of Columbia; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. He was preceded in death by a brother, Jessie Robert Jarrett. Active pallbearers are Kenneth Jarrett, Johnny Davis, Nick Davis, Brandon Pope, Thomas Dale, and Tommy Davis. Honorary pallbearers include David Au, Mike Reese, Mike McDonald, Amos McCoy, Austin Davis, Jesse Davis, and past and present employees of Turner & Osborne. The family extends special thanks to Hospice of the Highland Rim, Columbia Care & Rehabilitation Center, and the medical staff of Maury Regional Hospital.
