View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Thomas Ray “Tommy” Hendrix, 67, former employee of Stauffer Chemical Company & International Paper in Murfreesboro, died Sunday, December 27, 2020 at his residence in Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Pastor Steve Morgan officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. Born January 24, 1953 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Clarence Iveron Hendrix and the late Era Pauline Henson Hendrix. He was a 1971 graduate of Haylong High School and served in the United States Army stationed in Japan with the 358th Army Security Agency Company. Mr. Hendrix enjoyed riding his motorcycle and woodworking. Survivors include his wife, whom he married April 14, 1995, Gloria Wallace Richardson Hendrix of Columbia; children, Monica (Jeff) Wells of Columbia; T.J. (Carol Ann) Hendrix of Mt. Pleasant; Amanda Lewis of Columbia; Harold Wayne Richardson of Columbia; Robin Osborne of Columbia; sister, Carolyn Hendrix (Steve Jones) Cabrera of Columbia; grandchildren, Paisley Hendrix, Haze Hendrix, Lindsey (Adam) Johnson, Tiffany (Tyler) White, Devin Mitchell, Loren Mitchell; great grandchild, Gavin Mitchell; and nephews, Dennis Ray Butler, Jr., and Chadwick I. Butler. Active pallbearers will be Harold Richardson, Devin Mitchell, Jeff Fault, Steve Terry, Adam Johnson, and Tyler White.
