View Funeral Webcast  Thomas Porter "Pete" Reese, age 69, resident of the Williamsport Community, died Monday, March 26th 2018, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Mylen Coble officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Wednesday after 4:00 P.M. and Thursday after 12:00 noon at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born January 19, 1949 in Maury County, he was the son of the late William "Bill" Armine Reese, Sr. and the late Ruth Holcomb Reese. Known as "Pete" to family and friends, he owned and operated Pete Reese Painting for 39 years. Everyone that knew him would say he was a loving man and would do anything for you. He was a great, husband, father, friend, brother, uncle, and proud grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Peggy J. Reese; daughter, Tina (Randall) Jones; brother in law. Tommy (Sandy) Foster; grandchildren, Matthew Judd, Paige Morris (Michael Mash), Thomas Morris, and Crislyn Taylor Reese; brothers, Earl Reese and Teddy Reese; sisters, Rachael Barlow, Gloria Harwell, and Leslie Reese; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews; and special friends, Elva and Eddie Williams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Tommy Reese, and brother, Buddy Reese. Pallbearers will be Johnny Reese, Michael Reese, Michael Mash, Matthew Judd, Ronnie Tillery, and Paul Viazanko. Honorary pallbearers will be Thomas Morris, Randall Jones, Jim Rash, Mike Looper, Zeke Swindall, Donald Love, employees of The Sherwin Williams of Columbia, and all of his loyal customers.
