View Video Tribute Thomas Randall “Randy” Speed, 68, resident of Rolling Fields Circle and husband of Allison C. Speed, died Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Visitation for Mr. Speed will be held Saturday June 26, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born May 26, 1953, he was the son of the late Thomas W. “Red” Speed and the late Mildred Shelby Speed. Mr. Speed was a graduate of CMA and attended MTSU and received his bachelor degree. He took over his father’s business at City Finance for several years and then pursued a career in restaurant management. He enjoyed fishing and hunting and was a member of Ducks Unlimited. Mr. Speed was a past Exalted Ruler at the Elks Lodge 686. He enjoyed spending time at his camp on the Tennessee River. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sons, Woodrow “Woody” Jackson (Emily) Speed of Pensacola, Florida and Benjamin Thomas Speed (Samantha Truelove) of Columbia; sisters, Gayle (Al) Fowler of Germantown, Tennessee and Lori Dulaney of Memphis, Tennessee; grandchildren, Sutler Jackson Speed, Fisher Offie Speed, and Olivia Hope Speed; God daughter, Britton (Will) Foster and their children, Lorelai Claire and Beau Thomas; numerous nieces and nephews.
