Mr. Timothy Pogue Stewart, 46, died Saturday, July 8, 2006 at his residence on Denham Avenue. Graveside services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday at Beech Hill Cemetery with Dean Priest officiating. The family will visit with friends Wednesday from 1 - 3:30p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the son of Jeraldine Pogue Stewart McCrary of Columbia and the late Edgar "Louis" Stewart, Sr. He attended Maury County Schools and had worked as a carpenter. He was a member of Maury Hills Church of Christ. In addition to his mother he is survived by a brother, Eddie (Beverly) Stewart of Columbia; sister, Phyllis Lancaster of Columbia; two nieces, Amber (Hodge) Cook and Jamie (Billy) Browning both of Columbia; one nephew, Christopher Lancaster of Columbia; and several great-nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Billy Browning, Hodge Cook, Christopher Lancaster, Carl Green, Joey Allen and Marty Williamson.
