Timothy Leon Petty, 49, resident of North Laurel Circle, died Friday, June 18, 2004at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Mt. Nebo Cemetery with Rev. Ray Newell officiating. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. and Sunday from 1:00 - 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Maury County native was the son of Helen Kilgo Petty of Columbia and the late Hurshel Leon Petty. He was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church. In addition to his mother, he is survived by two sisters, Nanette (Dan) Ford of Franklin; Alisa (Carl) Parrish of Huntsville, Alabama; one brother, Shane (Jill) Petty of Chapel Hill; five nieces; one great niece; one great nephew; and several aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by one brother, Michael Petty. Pallbearers will be Tennessee State Park Rangers. Honorary pallbearers will be staff at Columbia Care & Rehabilitation, Maggie English, and Betty Whitaker.
