MRS. TISHA PHILLIPSMrs. Tisha Marie Witherspoon Phillips, 77, retired custodian of Hampshire School and resident of North Cross Bridges Road, died Wednesday, February 19, 2003, at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 12:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ricky Cotton officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was married to Jesse Paul Phillips who preceded her in death on January 29, 1970. She was a member of Cross Bridges Baptist Church.Survivors include one daughter, Pam Phillips of Columbia; two sisters, Glenna (Gene) Goodin and Lenna Hines, both of Columbia; three grandchildren, Allison (Harry) Miller of Bristol, Tennessee; Bethany Oakley and Bryan Oakley, both of Centerville; former daughter-in-law, Kathy (Tim) Oakley of Centerville; and special friends, Brother Ricky & Pat Cotton.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Marie Phillips; one son, Gary Paul Phillips; one sister, Hattie Petty; and three brothers, Hansel Witherspoon, Clifton Witherspoon, and Kenneth Witherspoon.Pallbearers will be Harry Miller, Freddie Goodman, Ray Hensley, Daniel Hensley, Loyd H. Witherspoon, Shane Petty, and James King. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. James B. Kelley, Ken Voss, Gene Goodin, George Jones, Jr. and J. P. Hines.
