Tommie Derryberry Lovell

September 28, 1919 — December 11, 2005

Mrs. Tommie Allene Derryberry Lovell, 86, retired from the Tennessee Farm Bureau, widow of Nathan Wesley "Jack" Lovell and resident of Carol Drive, died Sunday, December 11, 2005 at NHC Hillview. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Ron Eversole officiating. Burial will be in the Neapolis Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church Building Fund, P. O. Box 207, Columbia 38402. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandichols.com. The Williamson County native was the daughter of the lateThomas Andrew Derryberry and Anice Milton Gillispie Derryberry. She was a long-time member of the Central Christian Church. Survivors include three sisters, Ann Wright of Columbia, Mary Ellen McRae of Murfreesboro and Alpha Blackburn of Franklin; several nieces and nephews, Nancy Williams, Eddine Alsup, Judy Alexander, Deri Hammock, Brenda Oakley, Owen Derryberry, Jr., Murray Wilhoite, Ray Wilhoite, Dick Blackburn, Jimmy Derryberry, Jackie Derryberry, and Hollis Williams; extended family, Betty Vinson, Dr. Janice Vinson and Mona Hoffman. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Jessie Lorene Parrish, Robbie Wilhoite, and Margaret Oakley; two brothers, Owen Derryberry and James Derryberry. Mrs. Lovell's nephews will serve as active pallbearers. Honorary pallbearers are Robert Hardison, Eddie Alsup, James Hammock, Dan Hoffman, Danny McCulley and Kenneth Vaughn.
