Tony Harold Blackburn, 61, Department Manager at T. J. Maxx in Franklin and resident of Morris Avenue, died Tuesday, October 24, 2017, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Johnny Felker officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. Born November 20, 1955 in Maury County, he was the son of James Harold "Jim" Blackburn of Columbia and the late Nellie Ruth Pratt Blackburn. He was a 1973 graduate of Columbia Central High School where he was a member of the golf team. In addition to golfing, he enjoyed watching football and NASCR racing. In addition to his father, he is survived by his sister, Linda (Tommy) Carpenter of Columbia; girlfriend, Julie Williams of Columbia; nephew, Jason (Kristin) Carpenter; niece, Tiffany (Alan) Martin; great nephews, Jake Carpenter and Lukas Martin; great niece, Harper Martin; aunts, Peggy (Billy) Walters and Margaret Vinson; uncle, Dean (Clara) Pratt; and cousins, Pam, Alan & Kallie Faulkner, Greg Walters, Teresa Brawner, Jimmy & Vicky Pratt, Eddie Pratt, James & Amy Pratt, Cathy Marie & Philip Kennedy, Kathy & Larry Chunn, Allie & Eric Roberts. He is also survived by his two dogs, Murphy and Chester. Active pallbearers will be Alan Faulkner, Jason Carpenter, Alan Martin, Greg Walters, Billy Walters, Jimmy Pratt, Eddie Pratt, and Larry Chunn. Honorary pallbearers will include members of The Early Golfers and Rabbit Chasers.
