Tony Scott Anthony Leon "Tony" Scott, 47, Director of Maury County Parks & Recreation, died Thursday, December 16, 2004, at his residence on Tanyard Hollow Road. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Eastside Church of Christ with Elmer Lusk, Jack White, Joe Macer, and Joseph Wells officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 3:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The Hamilton County native was the son of Betty James Scott of Chickamauga, Georgia, and the late Arthur C. Scott. He was a 1978 graduate of Columbia State Community College and a 1980 graduate of University of Tennessee at Chattanooga where he earned his B. A. Degree in Recreation. An avid sportsman, he played baseball at CSCC, UT Chattanooga, and softball in the Columbia Men's League for A. B. Jones, and Columbia Church League for Eastside Church of Christ. He was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Linda Jones Scott of Culleoka; one son, Trevor Scott of Culleoka; one daughter, Andrea Scott of Culleoka; three brothers, Arthur C. (Gina) Scott, Jr., Charles (Tabitha) Scott, and Jonathan (Starr) Scott, all of Chickamauga, Georgia; three sisters, Melva (Bobby) Jordan of Rossville, Georgia; Lenora (Tommy) Johnson and Lisa (David) Turner, both of Tunnel Hill, Georgia; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bill & Peggy Jones of Culleoka; and several nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be Jim Anderson, Benny Bolton, Don Harmon, Craig Norris, Tommy Skelley, and Jody Williams. Honorary pallbearers will be employees of Maury County Park.
