Mr. V. P. Lunn Mr. Vera Penn "V. P." Lunn, 90, retired from the maintenance department at Monsanto Company and a resident of Clara Mathis Road in Spring Hill, died Sunday, April 11, 2004. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Glen Alexander, Howard Shelton and Jonathan Jones officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Columbia Academy, 1101 West 7th Street, Columbia 38401. The Maury County native was the son of the late Thomas Eli Lunn and Mary Alice Rummage Lunn. He was a long-time member of the New Lasea Church of Christ and currently a member of the Spring Hill Church of Christ. He was first married to Ruby Cammuse Lunn, who died May 14, 1977. Survivors include his wife, Hattie Sue Jones Lunn of Spring Hill; two daughters, Frankie (Stan) Pilkinton of Columbia and Vera Sue (Ronnie) Riley of Spring Hill; three sons, Thomas Alvin (Shelby) Lunn of Columbia, Stacey (Olivia) Lunn of Spring Hill and Ronnie (Glenda) Lunn of Lynnville; two step-daughters, Margaret (Jack) Robertson of Spring Hill and Bonnie Bailey of Nashville; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, David Lunn; a sister, Ivy Cole and 3 brothers, Willis Lunn, June Lunn and Bill Lunn. Active pallbearers are grandsons, Kenneth Lunn, Phillip Lunn, Gregory Lunn, Jody Riley, Jonathan Riley, Jason Riley, Nicholas Riley, Scott Pilkinton. Honorary pallbearers are Jack Robertson, Jay Farmer, Chad Bailey, Dean Schatz, Ed Seay, Morris Johnson, George Thompson, Elders and Deacons of Spring Hill Church of Christ and Monsanto retirees..
