Mr. Van Harold Spahr, 38, co-owner of Maury Roofing Co. and resident of Petty Hollow Road North in Lynnville, died Sunday, October 5, 2003 at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Elmer Lusk officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Tuesday and Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. A trust fund has been established at Community First Bank, 501 S. The Maury County native was the son of Joyce Ann Farris Spahr of Lynnville and the late Raymond Harold Spahr. He was a 1984 graduate of Spring Hill High School and was a player/coach for Coca Cola Men's Softball Team and an avid golfer. He was a member of Big Creek Church of Christ. Survivors in addition to his mother include his wife, Mary Shannon Winchester Spahr of Lynnville; three daughters, Tara Spahr, Ashley Spahr, Alissa Spahr all of Lynnville; one brother, Ken (Carolyn) Spahr of Lynnville; step-father, Gary Sanders of Lynnville; mother-in-law, Juaneese Crumley of Columbia; grandmother-in-law Betty "Sugee" Simmons of Columbia; step-grandfather, Thomas Simmons; brother-in-law Lee Winchester; and niece, Christy Spahr. Pallbearers will be Jeff Loveless, Dwight Holt, John Michael Church, Darren Cole, William Potts, Tracy Jones, Jason McCain and Ricky Patterson. Honorary pallbearers will be Lee Winchester, Anthony Potts, Don Potts, Buddy Potts, Thomas Simmons and members of the Coca Cola Men's Softball Team.
