Mrs. Velmer Haggermaker Street, 91, resident of Mapleash Avenue, died Friday, April 15, 2005, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:30 P.M. Sunday at Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ with Elder Dan Kitchen, Tim Street, and Rev. Telford Tharp officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home and Sunday after 1:00 P.M. at the church. William C. Street, her husband for seventy-two years, preceded her in death on August 11, 2002. She was a member of Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ. Survivors include three sons, Columbus Lee (Georgia Lee) Street, Bobby Lee (Mary) Street, Charles Ray (Nicole) Street, all of Columbia; seven daughters, Luella Green of Nashville, Dellie (Ray) Wolff of Friendship, Wisconsin; Gracie (Riley) King, Dorothy (Houston) Thomason, Helen (Glynn) Dale, Carolyn King, Patricia (Billy) Rochelle, all of Columbia; three sisters, Evie Lee Jones of Columbia; Ruby Bagsby and Maggie Webster, both of Athens, Alabama; one brother, Edgar (Myrtle) Haggermaker of Athens, Alabama; 38 grandchildren, 66 great grandchildren, and 2 great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be her grandsons.
