Vickie Lynn Love Knight

Vickie Lynn Love Knight, 79, a lifelong resident of Columbia, and retired Property Underwriting Vice President for Farm Bureau, passed away peacefully Monday, December 25, 2023 at her residence.

A private graveside service will be scheduled at a later date. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family. Born June 7, 1944, in Columbia, she was the daughter of the late Paul Sloan Love and the late Ann Cunningham Love. Mrs. Knight was the first female to be named Vice President at Farm Bureau Insurance Tennessee. She retired from the Property Underwriting Department in 2009 after 43 years of service. Mrs. Knight enjoyed her work with the Special Investigations Unit, testifying as an expert witness in State and Federal Court. She was also a proud member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. 

Survivors include her son, Johnathan Woodson Griffin Knight; daughter, Elizabeth Montague Knight (Rick) McDonald; grandchildren, Allison Paige (Jason) Penny, Taylor Anne (Tyler) Klein, Johnathan Ford Knight, and Richard Edward McDonald IV; great grandchildren, Eden Taylor Marsh, Mae Lynn Marsh, Shelbie Penny, Liz Penny, and Parker Anne Klein. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monte Hugh Knight.
