Mrs. Viola Brady Mrs. Willie Viola Potts Brady, 100, resident of Rosewood Manor, died Friday, May 7, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services were conducted at 2:00 P.M. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Vassar officiating. Burial was in Santa Fe Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Vanderbilt Children's Hospital, 1211 22nd Avenue South, Nashville, Tennessee 37232. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Dick Potts and Lucy Marlin Potts. She was married to Claude Wilson Brady who preceded her in death in 1982. Mrs. Brady was a member of the Church of Christ. Survivors include one son, J. W. Brady of Columbia; six daughters, Lucille Fly, Dorothy Himes , and Helen Pettus, all of Columbia; Ethel (Paul) Peden of Pulaski; and Edna (Bill) West of Sparta; thirty-two grandchildren; numerous great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; a few great great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by six sons, Norman Brady, Mike R. Brady, Mitchell Brady, Raymond Brady, Wayne Brady, and James Roberts Brady; one daughter, Betty Estes; and eight brothers and sisters. Pallbearers will be her grandchildren.
