Mrs. Viloet Legrand Fair, 87, retired from the Maury County Farm Bureau and former resident of Navaho Trail, died Monday, May 28, 2007 at Alterra Sterling House. Graveside services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Dr. Carl Duck officiating. Family and friends will visit from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Wednesday at Oakes & Nichols. Memorials may be made to West End Baptist Church, 900 West 7th Street, Columbia 38401. Mrs. Fair was a charter member of West End Baptist Church and the Gleaners' Sunday School Class. She is survived by her husband, Hollis C. Fair of Columbia; granddaughter, Rebecca (John) Woody of Chattanooga and a great-granddaughter, Mariah Wood of Chattanooga. She was preceded in death by a son, Robert H. Fair in 1982 and a grandson, Robert H. Fair, II in 1970. Active pallbearers are Dr. Allyn Lay, Cecil Johns, Kenneth Knox, Carl Brooks, Don Baggett, and Joe Ford. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Gleaners' Sunday School Class and Staff of Alterra Sterling House.
